I will not beat around the bush. The long-duration flights are genuinely frustrating, no fun at all. I used to dread them. Minutes feel like hours in a small seat, the dry air feels smothering, and the numbness in your legs just feels so uncomfortable that you feel like straightening up anytime soon, nothing feels right at that time.
But over time, I’ve learned a few tricks about how to kill my time smoothly and make a bearable experience.

Choosing a seat can vary from person to person as some fight over the window seat while a few adjust to the aisle seat, but honestly, it depends on how you travel. If you are someone who wants to lean peacefully and take a nap without interruption every five minutes, then you should choose a window seat so that your journey feels like yours.
But if you’re someone whose legs get numb and needs to stretch out every few minutes or half an hour, then an aisle seat can be suitable for you and might save you from cramps and restless legs.
Dress Like You’re Lounging at Home

Aeroplanes are tricky. Occasionally, it turns icy while the next moment feels too warm. So, for comfortable zone, wear something that can slip easily, such as layer yourself softly, loose pants, and comfy socks that feel accurate.
Avoid boots, sneakers that take centuries to remove, wear comfortable Shoes that can be easy to remove make life easier too. It actually saves your life, and you’ll thank yourself halfway through a 12-hour flight.

Cabin air is so dry it’s insane. I discovered air makes me drained which is completely annoying on a night so I try to keep drinking water as much as you needed. Now, I sip water constantly.

Remember to stretch out your body if you get a chance, or else you may suffer after reaching your destiny. Small movements ofthe body can also help you out such as rotating your ankles, stretch my arms, or taking a quick walk when the aisle is clear.

I try to sync my sleep with the destination as much as possible. Setting up your watch to the new time may seem funny and crazy before takeoff but trust me, it helps a lot.

The thing I regretted later, overpacking felt troublesome. After reaching the destination i planned to start roaming and the scenic viewpoint of my destination, which made me tired and low immediately.
But before starting or planning your day out, make sure you feel refreshed, take a shower, let your body adjust a bit, then eat something delicious and just enjoy being in a new place before diving into adventures.
